After the first spring shower, walk around your home to make sure there are no leaks at the base of rim of your windows and door sills. Make sure flashing is intact below your windows and doors.

High water pressure stresses your pipes. This can increase the likelihood of a plumbing leak. Measure your water pressure with a hose bib gauge, available at most hardware stores for under $10. If the pressure is too high, ask a professional plumber for help.
